Question 9: Abdullah picked up \(96\) balls and placed them into two buckets. One bucket has twenty-eight more balls than the other bucket. How many balls were in each bucket?
Solution:
Let one bucket contain \(x\) balls then second bucket should have \(x+28\) balls.
According to the given condition of question
\[
\begin{align*}
x+x+28&=96\\
2x+28&=96\\
2x&=96-28\\
2x&=68\\
x&=\frac{68}{2}\\
x&=34\\
\end{align*}
\]
So first bucket contain \(34\) balls and second bucket contains \(28+34=62\) balls.
